Operating your Amazon-based business and brand in its ordinary course. What am I talking about today? If you own a private label brand or a brand and you're selling on Amazon, there's over $2 billion available to you because people are buying these accounts and these brands like crazy, there are major aggregators out there, and continuing to operate it in the ordinary fashion is a requirement in every single letter of intent if it is a serious purchase or a serious acquire of your company. Now, what does that mean? That means that if you're spending a certain amount of money on advertising, pay-per-click, or any other form of marketing, you should continue to do it. You shouldn't increase it dramatically because that could create a false value, and you certainly shouldn't decrease it dramatically because that could cause a decrease in your sales going forward.
If you normally order goods three, six, or nine months in advance, you want to continue to do that. If you normally spend certain money on travel, attending events, whatever you're doing, you want to make sure that you continue to operate the business in the same way during the due diligence and leading up to the sale that you did in the six months of the year before you got to that point.
