This is part 1 of my capture of me playing through Shakedown: Hawaii for the Nintendo Switch. This is a downloadable title from Vblank Entertainment.
After six years, the 16-bit-style sequel to Retro City Rampage has arrived. I bought Retro City Rampage for the Wii on its release date back in 2013 and proceeded to play through the entire game within about a week. The game was just crazy as hell and loads of fun, but it got a little confusing at times. Even so, I enjoyed the 8-bit style and the constant NES references.
A few years later Vblank then released a free update to the game called Retro City Rampage DX, which fixed certain issues and added a turbo mode. I played through Retro City Rampage a second time after the DX update was released posted the footage on my channel.
Hopefully Shakedown: Hawaii has a little more coherent design than Retro City Rampage, but if there are any tanks or monster trucks involved, I know I'll be happy. I'm certain there should at least be some rocket launchers.
In this first I started a new save file and began rebuilding my business.
Recorded with the Elgato Game Capture HD60 and the Switch's HDMI cable at native 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second. I'm using a Switch Pro Controller.
