Eastman AC822-CE Fanned Fret (solid Engleman Spruce top with solid Indian rosewood back and sides) acoustic guitar. The fanned fretted fingerboard is a really unique and great feature of this guitar, it makes the intonation better than normal parallel fretted guitars. Also the lower E string has more tension because the longer scale and higher E and B strings are easier to bend because the shorter scale. The fanned fret looks strange when the first meeting with he guitar, but after few minutes of playing it gives a really good surprise to play some figures much easier and the bass response makes the sound inspirational and it stay powerful when the low E dropped down to D or C#.
This guitar played by Ernő Galambos (CEO) in Stageshop.
Sound and video recorded by Ákos Hegyessy.
We used Middle-Side microphone recording technique with a Neumann KM 184 at centre and Austrian Audio OC818 for the stereo ambient sides. We used UAD Apollo X4 mic preamp and AD converter and ProTools DAW. No EQ or any effects used on the recording.
