Suchitra Sen (6 April 1931 – 17 January 2014) was an Indian actress. [2] His birth name was Rama Dasgupta . He mainly rose to fame by acting in Bengali and Hindi films. She gained particular popularity by playing the heroine opposite Uttam Kumar in Bengali films .
