This history of sewing machines takes us from some of the first patented machines in the 1880s to the earliest electronic machines invented by the Singer Sewing Machine Co. in the 1970s. This is the first video of two about sewing machines. Part two explains current types of sewing machines with a glimpse of my own arsenal of machines, both industrial and domestic.

I started the channel in October 2020 as a way to help my remote learning students with sewing from home. I made sure they all got a machine (their own or a loaner from the school) and a package of materials and supplies. It was a big undertaking but worth it.
When I realized that there were YouTube watchers that wanted to watch my content, I branched out and started making other videos to share some of my knowledge. Please comment on any of the videos to tell me where you are from and/or let me know what kind of content you would like to see.
