The White Ribbon Alliance's Elena Ateva describes the first of the 12 steps of the International Childbirth Initiative (ICI). ICI provides 12 steps to providing safe and respectful MotherBaby-Family maternity care. ICI was developed through a partnership between the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics, and the International MotherBaby Childbirth Organization, in partnership with WRA, the International Pediatric Association, and the International Confederation of Midwives.
