Nearing the end of his career with the UK Fire & Rescue Service, Station Commander James has also maintained his passion for fitness that began on the rugby pitch in his younger years.
Having began to struggle & seek help for his mental health due to his service & responsibility, James has turned his passion into a means of escape, setting himself challenges like completing the Marathon Des Sables and aiming for an ultra-marathon on every continent. James is the focus of an upcoming documentary following his training & participation in the infamous Marathon Des Sables.
