On June 22, we’re thrilled to present two extraordinary pieces by Julius Eastman, a Black, queer composer and multi-instrumentalist whose work until recently was too often overlooked and under-programmed in classical music. Join us in celebration of queer artistry and legacy this Pride Month at our home, The DiMenna Center for Classical Music! 🏳️‍🌈 Complimentary drinks will be provided after the event 🥂

This clip, featuring Eastman's Femenine, was filmed at The DiMenna Center for Classical Music in New York City with a virtual premiere on June 28, 2022, with Tony and Emmy-winning stage, television, and film actor David Hyde Pierce providing insight into Eastman's life as a Black, queer composer.
