UPDATE: New coverage tests posted here: [ Ссылка ] . It's much better than what is presented here, but this intro still gives you the "lay of the land".
I'll test the range and signal strength of a gateway established in a desert foothills residential community in Tucson, Arizona. Results are presented via aerial maps and ground photos showing coverage and signal strength vs. gateway location.
The sketch and hardware used for this experiment is outlined on this website: [ Ссылка ]
If you’d like to download the raw data presented in this video, you can do so via the TTN mapper website ([ Ссылка ]). When visiting the website, (1) click on “Advanced maps”; (2) use “featherweather” for device id, and (3) select a start and end date of April 25 – May 3, 2021. Please note that the RSSI colors on ttnmapper are different from my own given that I used a custom legend that further discretizes the data and is more intuitive for my purposes.
I’m new to all this so corrections and recommendations are most welcome. (Note: At minute 7:37, I should have stated "May 2nd", not "April 2nd”)
