This is a footage of India's only submerged church, Holy Rosary located in Shettihalli, Karnataka, south of India. This Church, was built by French Missioneries around 1860s and it represents the Gothic Architecture. The water has depleted its structure which may fail to make it visually appealing but not the peace and serenity of the place. During Monsoons, usually the church gets submerged, and post monsoon as the water level descends, the church emerges out. Even when the church is half under the water, you can go near it on a coracle. The main idea behind this upload is to exhibit the beauty of this hidden treasure. How similiar is this to the stone henge of Wiltshire surviving through the ages, can this be called as "Stonehenge of South India" ??!
