See what it is like to climb the iconic Brunelleschi's Dome in Florence, Italy. Designed by the famous architect Filippo Brunelleschi in the 15th century, this dome stands tall over the city's skyline, offering stunning panoramic views of Florence and the Tuscany region.
We embarked on a steep climb up the narrow, winding staircase that leads to the top of the dome. Along the way, we witnessed the magnificent interior of the building, and got up close and personal to the Last Judgment that is painted on the ceiling of the Dome.
As we ascended higher and higher, the climb became more challenging, but the reward at the top is worth it. The 360 view is breathtaking.
But be warned, this climb is not for the faint of heart. The staircase is narrow and steep, and there are no elevators or handrails. However, for those who are up for the challenge, the climb up Brunelleschi's Dome is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that shouldn't be missed.
