Game 2 is here, and the Spurs and Knicks have their game face on.
Fun fact: Basketball analysts during the 1999 NBA Finals in real life compared the Finals games between the Knicks and Spurs to the fight between David and Goliath from the Bible. Why? Because most of the Knicks players were undersized compared to most of the Spurs players. David was an average sized man and Goliath was nine or 10 feet tall. The 1999 Knicks roster were a couple inches shorter than most of the Spurs players they were assigned to guard based on the positions they naturally play, excluding Avery Johnson, of course. Case in point, natural small forwards Latrell Sprewell is three inches shorter than Sean Elliott.
Fun fact #2: In the 1999 Playoffs IRL, Patrick Ewing was injured the whole time, even during the NBA Finals, but the Knicks did not grow weak, they accidentally learned how to play better, which is why as the 8th seed they got so far.
