The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA ) has undergone the first major redesign in over 40 years thanks to the FAFSA Simplification Act and the Fostering Undergraduate Talent by Unlocking Resources for Education (FUTURE) Act. Changes and updates to the backend systems that process and store federal student aid application data have taken place as well.
