Further stages of cognitive development according to Piaget’s model:
Concrete operational intelligence stage (7-11 years): acquisition of the ability to think logically about concrete (actual or imagined, but not hypothetical) facts. This is associated with decentration, reversibility, invariance, seriation, class inclusion, and transitivity.
Formal operational intelligence (age 11+): acquisition of the capacity for hypothetical logical reasoning, which means the ability to apply the specific level 3 logical operations to other such operations.
