Learn how to make healthier oat cookies from scratch that you can have as a snack or even as an addition to breakfast.

Ingredients:
1 Cup Oat Flour (100g)
1 Cup Rolled Oats (80g)
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon (2.8g)
1/2 Cup Unsweetened Applesauce (122g)
2 Tablespoons Oil (30ml) *I used coconut oil
2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract (10ml)
1 Tablespoon Honey or Maple Syrup (15ml)
1/2 Cup Dried Fruit of Choice (80g) *I used raisins & cranberries
1/2 Cup Chopped Nuts of Choice (56g) *I used almonds
Directions:
1. Whisk together the oats, oat flour, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl. Add the applesauce, oil, vanilla, and honey and stir together until well combined. Fold in the dried fruit and nuts. Scoop the dough using a tablespoon and shape into a ball. Place onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Gently press down the dough to form circles.
2. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool cookies completely on a wire rack.
