Sir Hilary Beckles of The University of the West Indies is one of the world’s foremost experts on the transatlantic trade in enslaved Africans. On 25 March he joined the President of the UN General Assembly to pay tribute to the millions of men, women and children who suffered as a result of this horrific chapter in human history, and sat down with UN News for an interview on the topic of reparations.
