Miranda Baksh presents a keynote to inspire future leaders through authentic storytelling. From advocate to founder to activist, she shares the story of her nonprofit the Community Climate Council and shares advice for young people looking to make a change in the world and the importance of your voice in fostering community. Miranda Baksh is a public speaker, climate action catalyst, and one of York University's Top 30 Changemakers Under 30 making a difference in the world. She obtained her Masters degree in Environmental Studies from York University. Her passion for biodiversity conservation led her to study EcoHealth Costa Rica and and Disaster Risk Reduction in Belize which brought her closer to local climate activism in Ontario. After completing research on science communication on Instagram and park management, she became co-founder and CEO of a non-profit organization based in her hometown, Brampton, called The Community Climate Council. She currently works at Environmental Defence, is a Board Member at Climate Action Network and an Advisory Board Member at Sustainability Network on Diversity and Inclusion. She is founder of MirandaBaksh.com where she offers environmental career coaching services.
