In Toronto, Mayor John Tory, Dr. Eileen de Villa, Toronto’s medical officer of health, and Matthew Pegg, the general manager of Toronto’s Office of Emergency Management, provide an update on the city’s response to COVID-19 (coronavirus disease). The mayor is also expected to comment on the provincial government’s decision to resume in-class learning for all elementary and high school students. Ontario Education Minister Stephen Lecce announced that students in Toronto will return to class on February 16.
