How long will a DUI stay on my record in Oklahoma?
The answer is forever unless you do something about it. All right, so when you are convicted of a crime in Oklahoma, you've got that court record.
It also goes on your arrest record, conviction record with OSBI. So it's in multiple places and court records or your arrest record and a criminal record with OSBI, neither one of those is automatically updated. Those things will stay on there forever. They will never remove themselves. They will never fall off.
You'll never get a clean slate unless you do something. It's up to you and incumbent upon you to file for an expungement when you qualify for one. So it stays on there until it is expunged and you have to be the one that requests that expungement.
