"Lessons of Tolerance" (Ukrainian with English subtitles), directed by Arkadii Nepytaliuk. It's a provocatively ironic comedy that highlights how stereotypes can ruin wellbeing and trust and, on the contrary, how love and tolerance can rebuild relationships. The school teacher Nadia persuades her typically intolerant family to join an EU-funded LGBT+ acceptance program. Their task is to spend 24 non-alcoholic days with Vasyl, who is gay but might also be the best friend, long-forgotten relative, good therapist, attentive social worker, or a plumber photographer. Through amusing games, they will learn about homophobia, equality, empathy, gender discrimination, and self-fulfilment.
