The ringgit jumped 0.6 per cent today to 4.099 to the US dollar, reaching a new more than three-year high.
Additional Chinese stimulus measures over the weekend propped up sentiment for regional currencies and extended a sharp rally in China stocks.
China is the biggest trading partner for most of the region.
The ringgit has risen 12.6 per cent in the third quarter alone, making it the best-performing currency of the year among emerging Asian currencies.
Its rally is driven by a host of factors such as robust foreign investor inflows, economic growth and political stability.
OCBC currency strategist Christopher Wong says they remain positive on the ringgit's outlook on solid fundamentals, namely robust economic growth, current account surplus, fiscal improvement, and sustained foreign inflows.
