On October 15, 2015, Paige McCoy started to feel fatigued and her heart rate was elevated. Fearing something was wrong, she went to see her primary care physician who immediately sent her to the ER for further blood tests. The results revealed she had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and she was immediately transferred to the ICU at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center (P/SL) where she was greeted by her oncologist, Dr. Tara Gregory. Paige underwent a bone marrow transplant at the Colorado Blood Cancer Institute (CBCI) in partnership with the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute (Sarah Cannon) and is now 3 years out and feeling better than ever. She is incredibly grateful to the cancer care team at P/SL stating, “I owe my life to this team!”
