EARTH SONG - ORCHESTRAL COVER

The Earth Song by Michael Jackson is nothing less than an emotion itself. This is my humble reinterpretation of the song from an orchestral perspective.

Back in 2019 when I was doing the cover, This was nothing more than an exercise to learn and improve my orchestration and programming skills. But as I was progressing, this quickly became a passion project. I wanted to capture the entire glory of our planet with this piece.

The track opens up with the classic piano riff that touched millions. wanted to show the dewy mountains and the valley vegetation with the intro. The song is played by the violin it shows the beauty of life from the smallest in the rainforests to the biggest in the savannahs.

Post chorus the track becomes more mellow and grander as we expose the mighty oceans. The verse is played by the strings and woodwinds with the horns playing the smooth counter melody from the actual song as well. The Chorus is reprised with Majestic horns and drums. The section tries to capture the smallest to the biggest creatures of aquatic life.

The bridge is played by the violin and trumpet to show the serene life in the poles. The final Chorus reveals the vivid landscapes of mother earth in all its glory.

Ends with subtle afterthought with piano

PS I named the channel virtual symphony back in 2019 and never really bothered much about it after the release of this track. But now I am back to releasing original public music exclusively for the channel. Hence, I have renamed the channel to my artist name Akshay Sreram
