Dinosaur ridge is a ridgeline in the Seoraksan Mountains that is known to be one of the most difficult trails in South Korea. So hoping to catch some of the beautiful autumn colours, we decided to hit this trail in October 2020. It turned out to be one of the most exhausting hikes that I have attempted, with 13 hours of hiking in total including around 5 hours to cross the infamous ridge. The colours were indeed lovely...at the bottom of the mountain! The lashing wind on the ridge had stripped all the trees of their leaves, leaving behind a harsh, brutal landscape that accompanied the harsh, brutal climb. But man, it was beautiful and challenging and fun, in the way that only an intense hike can be!
