In this video we discuss the conversion problems mostly found in your liver and gut that can cause thyroid symptoms. Remember, you can have thyroid symptoms without it being a thyroid problem. We see this pattern a lot with out patients. Usually they will have normal TSH and T4, the thyroid hormone is being regulated properly or the person is not on medications and these are normal. But, with this pattern they are not activating the hormone properly.
The only way to know what pattern out of the six you have is to do a full thyroid panel with all 11 markers. Pulling just a TSH and T4 doesn't give us enough information to find out "WHY" the thyroid isn't working.
