The Disturbing Life Of Japanese "Comfort Women" During WW2
Women and girls as young as 14 were coerced, tricked, or kidnapped into sexual slavery by the Japanese Imperial Army during its conquest of Asia before and during World War II. They were called comfort women in comfort stations, but they knew no comfort. They were treated as disposable objects, subjected to brutal abuse and violence, and deprived of their dignity and humanity. Many of them died or were killed, while others survived with physical and psychological wounds that would healed.
The existence of such stations was denied by the Japanese government for quite some time, and even to this day, there are plenty who continue to insist that such arrangements were entirely consensual.
Welcome to Bizarre History, today we deep dive into the The Disturbing Life Of Comfort Women In Japan.
