The Mumbai Police has now roped in the Economic Offences Wing along with the Mumbai Crime Branch to probe the TRP scam. The EOW will be looking into the diversion of funds, proceeds of crime in terms of advertising revenue earned by fake TRPs. DCP Parag Manere from the Mumbai EOW will look into the financial aspects. Moreover, expert forensic auditors will dig into forensic audits on financials of Republic and other two channels.
