Hello Everyone Welcome to my channel.
Today we are in the one of the historic cities in UK.
Ipswich famous for being one of England's Oldest towns and also has an array of buildings hailing from many diverse historical eras.
Ipswich's modern name is derived from the medieval name Gippeswic probably taken either from Anglo-Saxon personal name or from an earlier name given to the Orwell Estuary.Ipswich prospered as a port for the export of East Anglian textiles from medieval times to the 17th century. King John in 1200 granted the town its first charter and the town incorporated in 1446.
AD 600 Anglo-Saxon kingdoms were established in Britain and they began to invade Britain while the Romans were still in control but parts of the west of Britain including much of what is now Wales and Scotland remained free of Anglo-Saxon rule. The Anglo-Saxon came from northern Europe and they were not christian when they first came to Britain. The Anglo-Saxons were tall, fair-haired men, armed with swords and spears and round shields. They loved fighting and were very fierce. Their skills included hunting, farming, textile production and leather working. Actually Angles or Saxons have disappeared over the last thousands years or even before but descendants still inhabits the British Isles and US, Canada, New Zealand.
As the major hub for Suffolk, living in Ipswich is a fantastic option in fact Suffolk's livelist town!
