For substitutes, he has damage reduction against green and blue units, so don’t use them as your main dps. You could probably substitute red Escanor or Reinhard for Rudeus, and Ragnarok Ban for Mikasa. You could also try different team, such as an unknown with Freyr. He takes extra damage from goddesses, so red Sariel could be good, and while he does extra damage to demons, he doesn’t have damage reduction from them, so red Lostvayne could work. In the second phase, he buffs the attack or your unit with the highest hp, and lowers the attack for other units, so make sure your main dps has the most hp.
