A winter storm is set to drop snow, rain and a wintry mix on New York City and the surrounding area starting Thursday morning and lasting into Friday. Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for much of New Jersey through Friday morning. Elsewhere, including the city, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through Friday afternoon.
