Faded (Raw) is an introspective freestyle track by Illest Morena that highlights the ups and downs of her life as an independent artist—comparing it to a euphoric “high” and the “crashing” that follows when the high is over. In this track, Illest Morena uses a raunchy and almost comedic way of expressing her words about the recreational consumption of c@nn@bis that ends up with her uncovering her most authentic self that she wouldn’t usually think about when sober. This song aims to translate psychedelic high into sound. Its alternative title “Raw” is based on her favorite rolling paper brand (which she mentions in the lyrics of the song) that has helped her go through the rough patches that she has encountered along her journey.
