Crime boss Paul Day (top inset), 51, desperately tried to dump the Class A drugs as he sped through streets in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire (right) on June 20, 2016 after being caught by police exchanging drugs in a car park. Police dashcam shows Day and his accomplice trying to get rid of evidence linking them to a drugs empire that trafficked heroin from Sheffield to Nottingham. But the heroin explodes in a cloud of smoke as it's hurled out of their window. Elsewhere in the footage, Day's brother Mark (bottom inset) pulls alongside him in a separate car so the drugs could be thrown into his vehicle. But he misses, and so the brother has to circle back in a bid to collect the dropped drugs. The chase eventually comes to a close when police force the white Peugeot van off the road. The pair, who ran a ten strong gang, were jailed at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday. Day, of Sutton-in-Ashfield, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and was jailed for 11 years four months. His brother Mark, also of Sutton-in-Ashfield, admitted the same charge and was jailed for ten years nine months.
