A one-year-old toddler and a six-year-old were left alone by their parents who absconded during a Kuala Lumpur Immigration Department (JIMKL) operation against illegal immigrants here early this morning.
The mother and father of the two children, believed to be undocumented Indonesians, were missing during the 1.30am JIMKL raid in a squatter housing area in Kampung Masjid, Segambut Dalam, here.
JIMKL director Syamsul Badrin Mohshin said the raid on dozens of rental houses and rooms in the village saw checks conducted on 92 Indonesians and Bangladeshis living in the area.
He said checks were conducted on 76 individuals comprising 46 men and 23 women, as well as six boys and a girl, aged between five months and 57-years-old. Checks revealed that they committed various immigration offences.
