During Cataract Surgery, the cloudy lens is removed and replaced with a clear artificial lens implant. The lens implant is called an "intraocular lens", aka IOL. It's important to center the IOL precisely on a patient's visual axis, which is not always the same as the pupil center. This requires the surgeon to know the patient's visual axis. Otherwise, the lens can be decentered, and the patient may experience poor quality vision even after Cataract Surgery. In this video, I will show a tip on how to precisely center the lens implant on the patient's visual axis.
