Israeli military positions dominate the landscape near the Blue Line, a volatile zone not recognised as a border. Much of the area is devoid of residents, with destroyed homes in Hezbollah’s stronghold. The UN aims for a diplomatic ceasefire, while Israel seeks a Hezbollah-free buffer zone per UN Resolution 1701. Lebanese forces, supported by the UN, aim to extend state control despite ongoing tensions and disputed points along the border.
