Joe Dispenza
Joe Dispenza is considered one of the world's leading brain experts.
At the age of twenty-three, during a triathlon, a car hit Dispenza causing multiple vertebral fractures. Several doctors said his only hope of walking again lay in the fusion of some vertebrae, in an operation that would leave him with a life of pain and limited mobility.
But as a chiropractor, Joe Dispenza possessed enough knowledge about spinal health and his personal post-accident physical condition to take the considerable risk of refusing surgery. After making this difficult choice, in addition to following a careful therapeutic program, he literally used his thoughts to pave the way to recovery. Three months later, he was able to walk and act as before the accident.
Dispenza attributes most of the reasons for her physical recovery to the power of her mind.
This incredible experience spurred him to study this all-important tool we all possess, the brain, and it is this powerful knowledge that he now imparts through his new book (Evolve Your Brain, Macro Edizioni) and in the seminars he leads.
Joe Dispenza received his chiropractic diploma from Life University in Atlanta, Georgia (USA). After undergraduate training in biochemistry, practice and postgraduate studies were in the fields of neurology, neurophysiology, and brain function.
Dispenza has educated thousands of people in sixteen countries on the role and functioning of the human brain and on how it is possible to reprogram one's thinking through scientifically proven neurophysiological principles. Through this powerful information many people have learned to realize their goals and visions by eliminating self-defeating habits. His approach, taught through a very simple method, creates a bridge between authentic human potential and the latest scientific theories of neuroplasticity, explaining how thinking in new ways and changing one's beliefs can literally restructure the neurological wiring of one's brain .
The author of numerous scientific articles on the close relationship between the brain and the body, Dispenza has been invited to join the Who's Who of America, and is an honorary member of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and an editorial advisor to the Explore Magazine.
A scholar and lecturer in various subjects, from quantum physics to brain function, from intentional thinking to the nature of reality, Dispenza is one of the most popular scientists among those appearing in the award-winning film What the... beep... do we really know!? and in the extended version But what…beep…down the rabbit hole: he became famous above all for his observations on how to create your own day. When he's not traveling or writing, he's busy seeing patients at his chiropractic clinic near Olympia, Wash.
