What is a Shawarma?
Shawarma comes from Middle Eastern heritage consisting of sliced skewered meat, cooked over a rotisserie or spit. Served in a flatbread with a delicious homemade chickpea puree, this dish is one of the world’s most popular street foods.
In terms of versatility within sectors, this recipe is great for a grab-and-go offering within education, hospitality and leisure or serve cold in a café setting.
