In this short video I'm trying to show the difference between Osram H7 Halogen bulb and it's equivalent LED.
Car used in this video is 2015 Skoda Octavia with reflector headlights.
I chose to test Osram LEDriving HL for few reasons:
* Osram is reputable brand and give 5 year guarantee for this product
* physical build of LED (placement of light emitting chip) is very close to normal bulb which is important in reflector headlights
* compact size and ease of installation
* Canbus compatible
* in theory they are fit and forget for couple of years unlike halogen bulbs which I have to change at least once a year (I'm often driving after dark)
To human eye LED bulbs appear to be marginally brighter then Halogen ones. I don't have access to proper measuring equipment so I cannot say for sure whether they really are brighter or is it an illusion.
In different cars results could be different.
Overall if your after increased light output Osram LEDriving HL are not for you. If your want better look and in theory forget about bulb changing for 5 years this may be worth your consideration.
