You can protect your trees from Ants by using Duct Tape on the trunk of the tree with glue side facing outwards. This is a hack instead of using Tanglefoot paste. Use this method only when fruits are ripening. Do not use it for long term as the Duct Tape is not flexible and does not allow expansion to accommodate the growth of the tree.
