I'm not sure why these larvae were aggressive toward each other. As I understand it, they do not have the capacity to kill prey of their own size. They typically engulf small prey or shred plants. I did observe one feeding on the carcass of a dead Caddisfly larva (not shown-too gross). I don't know what killed it and couldn't find an empty case. Giant Caddisfly larvae are distinguished by conspicuous dark stripes on a yellow head and thorax. They have a sharp horn on the bottom of the thorax segment one, which can be seen in this video.
