According to the Facebook page NextGen PHDefense, the latest delivery of Shaldag Mark 5 is already equipped with missiles.
This is not surprising, though, because, as per previous reports, 4 out of 9 Shaldag Mark 5 purchased by the previous administration will be armed with Typhoon MLS Spike N-Los.
The Typhoon MLS Spike N-Los refers to the integration of the Typhoon MLS (Multi-Launch System) with the Spike NLOS (Non-Line-Of-Sight) maritime missile. Developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, this system represents a naval adaptation of the land-based Spike NLOS system.
The Typhoon MLS serves as a lightweight turret unit designed for positioning, pointing, and remote automated launch of the Spike-NLOS missile, along with two Spike-ER missiles. The Typhoon MLS utilizes a standard Typhoon pedestal, electronics, and control systems, providing a comprehensive naval missile and gun system.
