Installation of the eastbound center piece arch was completed in an overnight lift on the Margaret McDermott Bridge. The 312 ft., 192 ton piece raised by strand jacks in about 4 and a half hours, is the final piece of the arch. The Santiago Calatrava designed bridge will give pedestrian and bicycle access in and out of downtown Dallas, the floodway and Oak Cliff. (DMN time-lapse: Tom Fox)
