If you are a Cafe Racer Purist, you are going to love this video.
Because this video is about one of the best, and well made 2 stroke machines I ever laid my eyes on.
Yamaha RD 350., a very popular motorcycle in the 70's, and still remembered as "the Widow Maker".
The beautiful Yamaha presented here, was built by Bruno Hågensen, from Norway.
And believe it or not, this motorcycle is not exactly the work of a professional.
But amazingly, the build quality is quite impressive.

The engine was totally rebuilt with the folowing modifications:
- A Lighter and stronger crankshaft.
- Heavy duty clutch.
- Electronic ignition.
- High compression cylinder heads.
- V-force 3 reeds.
- A Pair of 34mm Lectron jetless self adjusting carburetors.
- A Pair of JL exhausts with expansion Chambers in stainless Steel.

- Steering damper from 'CR' in Hungary.
- Custom made brake discs (320mm front and 220mm rear) from 'ISR' in Sweden.
- Levers with integrated switch gear from 'ISR' in Sweden.
- 2 brake calipers front and rear from 'ISR' in Sweden.
- Billet aluminium hubs front and rear, made for the Yamaha XS650, From 'Mike's XS' website.
- 'Motogadget' chronoclassic revcounter.
- 'Motogadget' M-unit blue.
- 'Cognito moto' rearsets.
- Swingarm aluminium Alloy-SuperTuff made for the SR500 by 'MotoLanna Motorcycles'

Custom made parts:
- Bracket for the revcounter.
- Fork stem.
- Spacers for the wheels.
- Baseplate for the seat made in 1mm stainless steel.
- Cowl that goes all the way to the tank, made in a combination of fiberglass and stainless steel.
- Caliper bracket front brake.
- Brackets that holds the rearsets, exhaust and rear brake pump, made by me in 10mm aluminium.
- Bracket for the bottle you can see behind the engine, that's a bottle for 2-stroke oil, that I mix in the tank.
- Housing for the rear light.
