Buying a motorcycle in a foreign country is very complex, and I couldn't find any information for buying a motorcycle or car in Kazakhstan as a foreigner. Thankfully, I found Neeraj, who has been living in Almaty for 5 years and had a lot of contacts. He and Abdul bhai helped me buy the motorcycle and issue a power of attorney in my name so that I can drive through Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia & Mongolia.
Fortune favours the bold. I had no plans to buy a motorcycle in Kazakhstan as it was very complex, but Kyrgyzstan embassy issued our visa for the wrong date and we had some time to kill, so I went hunting for a motorcycle. And boy! We did it. :)
