I'm experimenting with XR (VR+AR) by using a little "Hack" for Oculus Quest 2. Basically testing Facebook's upcoming vision for "Infinite Office" now, before they'll announce it ( Hopefully someday soon, can't wait).
So now I can:
1. Bring a real keyboard & mouse into Virtual Reality.
2. Move hands in and out of this XR/AR Pass-through portal.
3. Use Hand Tracking, Keyboard & Mouse, and Controllers all together.
I must say, Oculus VR team has done some amazing job with AR Pass-through and their experimental features. But now, it feels almost like a real XR experience, because stepping into VR and then stepping out back to the real world... Feels so natural! Even without a dedicated XR glasses, so until we'll see consumer ready glasses (AppleGlass?!) with AR + VR all-in-one, this is the closest we can get, using the Oculus quest 2 (the best value for money in my 10 years of VR/AR journey).
For the UX/UI/HCI and product designers among us, this is the exciting future of Spatial Computing! Get ready! ;)
If you want to know how to get this AR Pass-through portal for your headset, feel free to comment blew or DM me. Developer mode is needed. For more videos like this, follow my page on Facebook (StartuX & iBarel): [ Ссылка ]
