I discuss Plato's theory of Forms or Ideas. Plato's Forms/Ideas are "universals", general, abstract things, in contrast with concrete material things. The Form/Idea of something is its essence or its perfect or "ideal" form, and it is an entity that really exists and transcends the material world.
