Engineering students at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich have created a ballbot called the Rezero. The Rezero balances on a single sphere and can move in any direction. Motors on the robot make adjustments 160 times per second in order to maintain balance. Rezero has three wheels that direct the sphere, allowing movement in any direction or movement around its own axis. Designers envision the Rezero will be used in parks, exhibitions, hospitals, and as a mode of transportation
