Note: this is a UP train with NS power in Roberts, WI. We were listening to the radio traffic with a scanner (we weren't communicating with them, as some of the geniuses in the comments have suggested) and never set foot on railroad property.
Apparently we (two guys with DSLRs in a car with a big antenna - a typical railfan profile if ever there was one) looked too suspicious when we were stopping at grade crossing and taking photos of this train. The conductor called in a description of both of us (it was amusing hearing her describe my "98% Chimp" shirt) as well as our license plate. A few miles down the line they called the dispatcher again. Knowing that a followup report was likely, I had my phone ready to record the conversation...
