Why I never shop at Zara: a petite and curvy girl's account of shopping at Zara.

We all love a Zara haul...don't we? I absolutely adore the different designs that Zara introduces every season.

However, every time I visit a Zara store thinking that this time perhaps I'll find some clothes that'll fit me, I feel highly disappointed. In the past, instances like these deeply affected my self confidence making me feel that my body is not good enough to fit into beautiful clothes or that I need to lose weight to fit into certain kinds of clothes.

This got me thinking about how certain clothing brands can affect a person's self esteem! While I could lose weight if I wanted, I couldn't grow taller which meant I can never fit into Zara's clothes as they aren't meant for petite women like me. They seem to be only tailored to a particular body shape and height.

With various eminent brands offering petite sizing, I now understand how clothes are meant to fit a petite and curvy body. I don't need to shop in the children's section or run to the tailor to get my clothes hemmed in!

If trying on clothes from certain brands have made you feel bad about your body, I'd like to tell you that no matter your size or height, clothes are meant to fit you and not the other way round!

I hope that in the future Zara will offer more inclusive sizes!
