Inspired by a British hero, the Carey Dual time is named after Frank Reginald Carey nicknamed Chota, a name given to him by those in the RAF from his time in India for his 5 foot 6 inch frame. Born in Brixton, London, Carey was an RAF fighter pilot and flying ace who served during WW2. At the outbreak of World War II in September 1939, Carey flew defensive patrols over eastern Scotland, where he gained his first successes. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Medal (DFM) in February 1940 for several shared air victories.

Taking this as an inspiration, this timepiece is designed with dual time keeping in mind as Carey scored numerous victories globally, and was credited with an astounding 23 enemy aircraft shot down across both Europe and Asia. He was one of only a few who accomplished this remarkable achievement. The Carey Dual Time is designed and built from our iconic Hawker Hurricane silhouette, a straightforward and clean pilot’s watch frame, coming in at 43mm. Sleek and simple, it is designed to look and feel comfortable. featuring brushed finishes throughout the case, The Dual Time offers a purposefully reserved look, and the domed mineral lens with anti-reflective coating offers a clear view to the dial.
